The NBA offseason is in full effect and trades as well as rumors have been going on. As a result, both fans and players alike have been on the edge of their seats. The Oklahoma City after a year long rumor of going to trade away Chris Paul to fully embrace a rebuild on the team finally happened. Chris Paul was traded to the Phoenix Suns to be paired up with Devin Booker. In return, the Thunder will receive Kelly Oubre Jr, Ricky Rubio, Ty Jerome, Jalen Leque and a 2022 first round pick. They also traded away their sixth man Dennis Schroder to the Los Angeles Lakers for Danny Green and the 28th pick in the NBA draft this year to go along with their own 25th pick. The Bucks have been another active team after making deals to acquire both Jrue Holiday and Bogdan Bogdanovic. With this being Giannis' last year, the bucks have decided to go all in this year to try and persuade him to resign. The Houston Rockets have been another team many have their eyes on. After the pairing of both Russell Westbrook and James Harden did not work, they have decided to ask for trades from the team. While Harden is set on a reunion with Kevin Durant in Brooklyn, Westbrook's decision is not as clear. Latest news, have him in talks of being traded for John Wall. With the NBA draft already happening on the 18th, teams are rapidly making moves to get their teams ready for the start of the season.

With the conclusion of the draft, teams finally were able to make the picks they wanted with prospects of the future. Anthony Edwards went number one overall to the Timberwolves, James Wiseman went second to the Warriors, and Lamelo Ball was third overall to the Charlotte Hornets. Plenty of moves were also made on draft night, with the Thunder able to trade away two first round picks to draft Aleksej Pokusevski 17th out of Serbia. The future is coming and teams are prepping for the new era of basketball. The Atlanta Hawks being another team that has been active this offseason with the acquisition of Danilo Galinari, Rajon Rondo with Bogdan being rumored to be picked up also. These moves make the Hawks very relevant in the Eastern Conference and a team to watch.
