About Us
The Anchor is the independent student newspaper of the Rhode Island College community since 1928. We serve as a source of news and a tool for recording events for the college and surrounding community and as a forum for free expression. We aim to provide fair, accurate and timely coverage of news and events to the RIC community, while facilitating the educational experience of newspaper operation.
COVID-19 Update 9/16/2021: We are a primarily digital newspaper. As Rhode Island College conducts a mostly on campus learning semester, we will publish in print once a month. Our articles are published on Monday afternoons. On a monthly basis we print our best and favorite articles from the last few weeks. Print editions are distributed Tuesday mornings.
