The Anchor is the independent student newspaper of the Rhode Island College community since 1928.  We serve as a source of news and a tool for recording events for the college and surrounding community and as a forum for free expression. We aim to provide fair, accurate and timely coverage of news and events to the RIC community, while facilitating the educational experience of newspaper operation.

We are a primarily digital newspaper. As Rhode Island College conducts a mostly on campus learning semester, we will publish in print once a month. Our articles are published on Monday afternoons. On a monthly basis we print our best and favorite articles from the last few weeks. Print editions are distributed Tuesday mornings.
