If you’re like me and love a good sweet treat or a fresh baked good, you’ll definitely want to check out these amazing local bakeries. The weather is getting warmer and everyone wants to explore outside, so why not stop inside one of these stores to grab something fresh and tasty. You won’t want to miss out on these delicious baked goods.

Pastryland Bakery- Smithfield

This awesome small bakery located in Smithfield’s village of Greenville is amazing. They serve just about any baked goods you can think of with a lot of Italian pastries such as cannolis, rice and ricotta pies, sweet breads and much more. Having been in business for over 40 years, they have wonderful and rave reviews of their delicious food and you’re bound to find a good bread, calzone or sweet treat of your choice. They also serve coffees and have a wine bar if that’s something you’re interested in. Relatively inexpensive, they offer a great variety and you will definitely feel like you’re getting a bang for your buck. Check them out, as they are open from Tuesday to Sunday.

Borelli’s Bakery- Providence

This local and small bakery in the Charles neighborhood of Providence is a hidden gem. It’s been around for over 75 years. Personally, I’ve been there plenty of times and am always surprised by the wonderful staff and amazing quality of their breads and treats. They serve a wide range of Italian breads, pastries, and other baked goods such as pizza strips, sandwiches and prepared foods. Some of my favorites from Borelli’s is their bread, which is always made fresh the same day and is soft and great with any kind of sandwich. I always love their pastries such as their cream puffs. You’ll absolutely want to stop in and they are open every day.

DeLuise Bakery- Cranston

I’ve only been to this bakery once but the one time I did go, I was blown away by the amazing and friendly staff and the quality of the food. I remember I had a raspberry dessert and have been dreaming about it ever since. This Cranston bakery has a lovely variety of, again, Italian baked goods and desserts that you don’t want to miss out on. They specialize in cakes and pastries but also offer breads and pizzas, which I did have some of, and they were delicious. You need to check these guys out, they are definitely worth it and relatively inexpensive as well. Open Tuesday to Sunday, if you find yourself in Cranston, stop in!

Zaccagnini’s Pastry Shoppe- Pawtucket

Another lovely Italian bakery, this one is located in Pawtucket and has an awesome selection of Italian pastries and pizzas. With a great selection of cookies, cakes, and pies, you’ll be amazed at the beautiful display they have of their baked goods. They offer birthday cakes and cakes for other events and holidays and even have holiday cookie trays and desserts that you can order for any of your parties in the future. Serving my favorites, cream puffs and cookies, I know I’m bound to stop in again, and you may even catch me there. Open every day of the week, if you’re driving through Pawtucket, check them out.
