Women are like purses
We carry so much
That which we struggle to hold
We are worn out and frayed
We hold mountains inside
Women are like novels
So rarely appreciated for our greatness
But we tell beautiful stories and weave dreams
We bind eyes to our words and draw them in
Although in the end, we are tossed aside
Women are like the sun
So bright and bold above us all
Shining just to let us see another day
So vital for our survival
And yet we are told too much is dangerous
