The women’s volleyball team is a team that should be getting more attention. The Anchorwomen have won their last two games after starting off slow.

As the set went on, each team was trading points. The score was 17-17 when the Anchorwomen would pull away and win 25-18. The second set was competitive as well. As the Anchorwomen began this set trailing again, they went down 2-0 early in the set. The Anchorwomen then went on a 4 point rally and never went back. She recorded a double digit assist game, like Avelo, with 14 assists on the day. Marina Colonis found her way on the box score in more ways than one. The Anchorwomen continued their success with a big conference win on Saturday at home. The Anchorwomen were able to blast past the Castleton University Spartans with a score of 3-1. The game was highlighted by junior Nicole Normandin who recorded an amazing six assists on the day.

The first set was back and forth. The game was tied 24-24 and then the Spartans ended up pulling away with a close score of 26-24. Being down one set early did not faze the Anchorwomen though. They ended up controlling the second set and winning with a score of 25-19. Tied up at 1-1, the next set was an important one. Both teams kept trading blows. The Anchorwomen were down 23-22 late in the set. That did not stop them however, as they scored three straight to win the set 25-23. Up 2-1 in the game, the fourth set could be the clincher. Both the Spartans and the Anchorwomen brought their best in this set. Like in the third set, the Anchorwomen were trailing late.
