Students on campus have a variety of styles, from wearing the comfiest thing in their closet, to using color and proportion in their looks . Campus fashion at RIC usually includes matching workout outfits, the “clean girl look” (usually a cute pair of jeans with a simple top or sweater), and color-coordinated outfits, such as brown pants with a contrasting top. We believe that students enjoy expressing themselves through their clothes reflecting their personality, mood, or the occasion. Style on campus has been very influenced by the weather transitioning from summer to fall. Recently students are seen wearing pieces such as leather coats, crewnecks, colorful scarfs, boots, to sweat shirts, sweatpants and puffer jackets. Puffer jackets this early is honestly a stretch; we wonder what students will be wearing in December!!

A fun way RIC gathers students to bring up school spirit is, “On Thursdays, We Wear RIC.” Wearing maroon, white, and or dark gold on Thursday is a perfect way to get noticed by the school's “swag wagon” and win free items.

Campus fashion can also differ depending on the time of class; what you’ll see a student wearing for a class at 8:00 am is very different from what you’ll see a student wearing for a class at 2:00 PM. Towards earlier classes , RIC students are usually seen wearing matching two piece sets , sweatpants , hoodies , uggs and crocs and classes towards the afternoon , students are seen wearing barrel leg jeans , skirts ,  quarter zips , sneakers and boots.

RIC Campus fashion is very diverse , there are so many different styles on campus . Whatever the students feel is usually expressed through clothing whether it could be joy , sadness , confidence or creativity . Students should always feel free to express themselves in any way shape or form . There isn't a specific aesthetic attached to RIC fashion , students run from many styles such as grunge , Y2K , sportswear , dark academia and gender fluid tailoring .

RIC Campus Fashion is the exact definition of free expression. Students across campus dress in ways that reflect their identity.
